MISSION STATEMENT
Newport Community Television, Inc. is established to foster the democratic use of electronic media by providing residents and organizations of Newport, New Hampshire with access to cable television for the purpose of non-commercial communication within the community and to provide and support electronic media education.

NCTV News and Programming Notes: School District Deliberative Session to be LIVE on Channel 10 The annual Deliberative Session of the Newport School District will be cablecast live starting at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7. The meeting, at which the public will have an opportunity to comment on and, if so desired, alter the proposed 2012-2013 Newport School District Budget, is the last opportunity the community has to change the spending plan before voting takes place in March. School Competitions! The Annual Middle School was televised live on Wednesday, January 18, after two weather-related postponments, and the Towle School Spelling Bee is scheduled for a live telecast on Thursday, January 19 at 8:00 AM. If you missed the live presentations, tune in for the replays! For additional program times, CLICK HERE for a copy of the program schedule. NCTV Opens the VHS Vault NCTV has a rather large collection of programs on VHS tape, from 1990s football and basketball games to who knows what, and one day we realized that we could show these old chestnuts even today in the digital age. So watch for programs from the VHS Vault -- you never know what might turn up! Granite State Outdoors spotlights North Country Stories During the month of November, Granite State Outdoors, a video presentation of the NH Fish & Game Department, features hikers who learned some hard lessons along the trail, tracking NH's moose, venison flatbread with the WildChef, and more! Do You Have a Photograph That Perfectly Illustrates YOUR Newport? Consider submitting it to NCTV for our This Is Our Newport presentation on NCTV. Photographs will be displayed on Channel 10 as part of our "between the programs" offerings. Call NCTV at 863-8837 for more information. NCTV Offers Video Production Tutoring Newport Community Television offers tutoring in video production for community members who have an interest in video camera operation and digital editing. From handheld camcorder to NCTV's professional studio equipment, you or your organization can learn how to make video productions to tell your story. Contact Jeff Nintzel at 863-8837 to learn more. Program Presenter Opportunities NCTV receives potential programs from various organizations, and offers opportunites for community members to present these programs on Channel 10.
